Abstract
The Classroom Action Research has been conducted (PTK), which aims to enhance critical thinking
skills and student outcomes classroom VII4 SMPN1 Tambang through the use of interactive learning
media. Research carried out from February to April 2010. Subjects were junior high school first graders
VII4 Tambang numbering 22 people, consisting of 9 mens and 13 womens. The parameters in this
research are students’ critical thinking skills with the indicators provide an explanation, giving reasons,
explaining the term, concluding then learning outcomes and student activities. The result of students’
critical thinking skills that every indicator, the indicator provides an explanation 76.8% (good), give
reasons 73.53% (good), explaining the term 79.65% (good), concluded 64.92% (adequate). Absorption
of students in the first cycle with an average of 59.45 (or less), the second cycle with an average 69.11
(enough). Mastery learning students has increased, the percentage of completeness in the first cycle of
81.82% and the second cycle is 100%. Student learning activities were analyzed qualitatively. From the
results of this study concluded that the use of interactive learning media can improve critical thinking
skills and students’ classroom VII4 SMPN1 Tambang 2009/2010 academic year. It is recommended to
teachers to improve teaching so that the use of the creativity in interactive learning media become more
effective in teaching and learning process.
