Abstract
The goal of this research is to know The Implementation of Character
Education in social-history learning by certified teacher at public junior high
school 23 Pekanbaru year 2012/2013. The type of this research is descriptive
qualitative. The number of the population is 388 students and all of them are
social-history students of certified teacher. This research uses random sample with
15% students from each sosial-history class. therefore the number of sample used
is 59 sample. The way the researcher collected the data was by giving questonaire
to students and intervieing all certified social-history teacher at public junior high
school 23 Pekanbaru. To reach the goal, data analisys is done by desciptive count.
After analyzing the 30 question data which is part of six relevant character
in learning social-history, the researcher gets the result of character value that is
the Implementation of character education in social-history learning by certified
teacher at public junior high school 23 Pekanbaru year 2012/2013, the respondent
who chose A is 46,7%, B 33,7%, C 17,9% and D 1,7%. Seeing the percentage of
the result, it can be conclude that the Implementation of character education in
social-history learning by ceertified teacher at public junior high school 23
Pekanbaru year 2012/2013 is good wether there are some characters that should
be concerned especially democration and the nationality of students.
