Abstract
Control of pests using synthetic chemical pesticides cause many side effects
One of the environmentally, friendly alternative to control is to use a tuba root
experiment was conducted from August to October 2010, performed at the
Laboratory of Plant Pests and Screen House Garden Experiment (Derris elliptica
Benth.) University riau Faculty of Agriculture. The purpose of this study was to
determine the ability of AKR some extract concentration tuba (Derris elliptica Benth)
to control the golden snail pest in rice plants. Treatments consisted of spraying the
tuba root extract on rice plants with a concentration of 0 g / liter of water, 10 g / liter
of water, 20 g / liter of water, 30 g / liter of water, 40 g / liter of water, and 50 g / liter
of water. Research carried out an experiment using a Completely Randomized Design
(CRD) with 6 treatments and 4 replications. The results showed that the treatment
tends to be more capable of killing 52.50% golden snail is a test of the treatment
concentration tuba root extract 30 g / clump.
