Abstract

Action research has been done in SD Filial 023 aimed at improving mathematics learning outcomes through the implementation of direct introduction model grade II in the second semester of academic year 2011/2012 on the subject matter of multiplication and division are performed in the second semester in April-June 2012. Subjects in this study were grade II SD Filial 023 Kopi baik-baik, Kecamatan Bangko Kabupaten Rokan Hilir with enrollment of 15 people, consisting of 8 boys and 7 girls. This study was conducted in six sessions. In the first cycle and second cycle implementation of learning with the application of direct instruction implemented with 6 (six) meetings. The results showed the frequency of the number of students who achieve minimum criteria in the low category for the base score is 11 students, the daily tests I was 8 students and daily test II was 1 students. While the frequency of the number of students who achieve the high category for minimum criteria basic score is 4 students, the daily tests I was 7 students and the daily test II is 14 students. This shows that there is improvement in student learning outcomes follow direct instruction both in the first cycle and second cycle.
