Abstract: This research aimed at improving students learning outcomes in teaching and learning process at class X2 at SMA Muhammadiyah Bangkinang by implementing cooperative learning model of Student Team Achievement Division (STAD) in mathematics lesson. This study uses classroom research. It was conducted in two cycles. The activity and students learning outcomes data were gainet by collecting activity data by using observation sheet and daily test. The data which were collected were score which descriptive analyzed statistically. The result of study in the first cycle found that the percentage of students who achieve KKM is 57.14 % and the second cycle is 76.19%, an increase from before the measures the percentage 25%. The conclusion of the study showed that the implementing of cooperative learning model of Student Team Achievement Division (STAD) could improving students learning outcomes mathematic at class X2 at SMA Muhammadiyah Bangkinang.
