Abstract
The research was conducted at Mutiara Merdeka Hotel Pekanbaru in
Pekanbaru No.12A at Yos Sudarso street road that aims to determine how Effect
of Training and Placement either simultaneously or partially on Employee
Performance at Mutiara Merdeka Hotel Pekanbaru.
The population in this study were all full-time employees Mutiara
Merdeka Hotel Pekanbaru. Sampling was done by making the overall population
of respondents ie 59 people. Source data from the primary data and secondary
data. Data collection techniques in this study was through questionnaires and
interviews. The analytical method used is descriptive quantitative method using
multiple linear regression with SPSS version 17.00.
Simultaneous regression test (F test) showed that the independent
variables simultaneously training and placement has a significant influence on
employee performance. The magnitude of the effect that the coefficient of
determination (R2) by the two variables simultaneously on the dependent
variable while the remaining 92.1% 7.9% influenced by other variables not
examined. Partial regression results (t test) showed that the dependent variable
has an employee performance a significant effect on each of the independent
variables studied were Training and Placement. For companies should complete
infrastructure well in training so that employees understand the content and
purpose of the implementation of the training and also expected the attention of
corporate leaders in making policy decisions in order to avoid placing pressure
on employees who are not placed in the right job and finally will affect the
performance of employees.
