Abstract
This research aims to improve student’s mathematics learning
outcomes by implementing cooperative learning model of Students Teams
Achievement Division (STAD) type in class IV SD Negeri 002 Sipungguk, in
even/second semester of academic years 2012/2013. This study uses the
classroom action research. The subject studied were students of class IV SD
Negeri 002 Sipungguk with the number 33 people consisting of 15 male students
ang 18 female studenst. Studenst in this class are heterogeneous in terms
academic ang gender. It was conducted in two cycles. The activity of a students
learning outcomes data were gained by collecting activity data by using
observation sheet and test. Analysis of the data used descriptive statistical analysis
that describes the activities of the teacher and students, analysis of learning
outcomes and successful measurements. The result of the first cycle found that
percentage of student who achieve mastery minimum criteria ( 60) was 79% and
the second cycle was 100%, wich increased the percentage of the previous
measures only 48%. The conclusion of this study indicate that cooperative
learning model type of Student Team Achieviment Division (STAD) can improve
student’s mathematic learning outcomes.
