Abstract
This study aimed to obtain the concentration of Bacillus sp. which is capable to control wet rot disease caused by Erwinia caratovora. The study was conducted at the Laboratory of Plant Diseases and at the home screen of the Agriculture Faculty, University of Riau. Research has been conducted experimentally using a completely randomized design (CRD) consisting of 6 treatments and 4 replications. The treatment used is Bacillus sp. concentrations, which are: without giving Bacillus sp. (B0), the concentration of Bacillus sp. 106 cfu/ml (B1), the concentration of Bacillus sp. 107 cfu/ml (B2), the concentration of Bacillus sp. 108 cfu/ml (B3), the concentration of Bacillus sp. 109 cfu/ml (B4) and the concentration of Bacillus sp. 1010 cfu/ml (B5). The data were statistically analyzed using analysis of variance, followed by Duncan's New Multiple Range Test (DNMRT) at the level of 5%. The results showed that the concentrations of Bacillus sp. at 106, 107, 108, 109 and 1010 cfu/ml capable in reducing the intensity of E. caratovora infection on mustard plants compared to without giving Bacillus sp. The concentration of Bacillus sp. at 108, 109 and 1010 cfu/ml produce more number of colonies in the planting medium and it is able to stimulate a better plant growth than other concentration which increase the plant height, wet weight and the feasible weight crop for consumption.
