The most dangerous pollution of the waters is a heavy metal waste. One method to reduce the levels of heavy metals are soluble in water by adsorption method. The purpose of this research was to study the effect of concentration and temperature on the absorptive capacity of the adsorbent as well as determine the Cu2+ adsorption equilibrium models using TriCalcium Phosphate. Firstly, 1 g of TriCalcium Phosphate was mixed with 500 mL of Cu2+. Subsequently the Cu2+ solution was stirred during the equilibrium time. The solution was filtered and the concentration of Cu2+ in the liquid was analyzed using AAS. At the initial concentration of Cu2+ 2,703 mg/L (30oC) Qe obtained 1,307 mg/g of adsorbent. When the initial concentration of Cu2+ was increased to 8,452 mg/L and 14,954 mg/L, Qe be 3,432 mg/g of adsorbent and 6,130 mg/g of adsorbent. At 30oC, 40oC and 50oC with Cu2+ concentration of 2,703 mg/L obtained Qe 1,307 mg/g of adsorbent, 1,313 mg/g of adsorbent and 1,318 mg/g of adsorbent. Adsorption mechanism occurred was more dominated by Freundlich isotherm models and types of physical adsorption. Heat of adsorption obtained was 3,163 Kcal/mol.K.en_US
