Abstract

Bufo melanostictus in Indonesia is usually called kodok bangkong kolong or kodok buduk. The wide distribution area of B. melanostictus will affect the morphometric character of B. melanostictus. This study aimed to determine differences in morphometric variations of B. melanostictus in the Palm Oil Plantation of PT. Sinar Reksa Kencana (SRK) in Peranap, Indragiri Hulu. This research was carried out from December 2017 to February 2018. A total of 30 individuals of B. melanostictus were collected from oil palm plantations. The results of t-test morphometric characters in the study area showed 2 morphometric characters that were significantly different in JMM, and JIO. Morphometric characters that are significantly different indicate that morphological variations have occurred. The more different morphological characters in a population studied, the higher the phenotypic variability level of the species.
