Abstract
Termites (Coptotermes curvignathus H.) is a native species that were abundant in primary forests in Indonesia and Malaysia, especially in the lowlands as well as areas with rain fall spread evenly throughout the year. Climatic and soil conditions as well as thediversity of plant species in Indonesia is very high termite life support, 80% of Indonesia's landis a good habitat for the life of different types of termites. One of the plants has a compound for use as a pesticide plant that citronella (Cymbopogon nardus L.), because this type has the ability to reduce pest population. The purpose of this study was to obtain a concentration of citronella best flourin the control of termites in the laboratory. This research was conducted at the Laboratory of Plant Pest Faculty of Agriculture, University of Riau. Campus Development Widia Panam Pekanbaru In April to June 2012. The study was conducted using Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 5 treatments and 4 repetitions of. P0 (without flour citronella 0g/100 g sawdust), P1 (concentration of citronella flour 3 g/100 g sawdust), P2 (concentration of citronella flour 6 g/100 g sawdust), P3 (lemongrass powder concentration 9 g/100 g scented sawdust) and P4 (citronella starch concentration 12 g/100 g sawdust). The concentration of citronella flour 6 g/100 g sawdust is the best concentration to control termites in the laboratory with a total of
83,75% Mortaritas.
