Abstract
The purpose of this research aim to study results IPS class IV a new sub SDN Rantau Baru Kerinci
with an application of cooperative learning model of type numbered heads together (NHT), this
research is the research action class (PTK), which funded on 1-18 October 2012. The subject of
this research is a class IV SDN 001 Rantau baru kecamatan Pangkalan Kerinci region of 16
students. The measured parameters is a matter of learning result tests by using the test results and
student learning activities that malicious activity observation sheet the tea cher and student were
observed when the learning process takes place. These data were analyzed by descriptive. Result
of the study are obtained from the students with the average student learning result before action
i.e. 63,75. At cyle I i.e 65,31 and inc reased cycle II i.e 72,5. On UH I results classical students i.e
68,75% and rising at UH II i.e 87,5% with increase of 18,75%. Teacher activities for cycle I
median rating activities i.e 63,75% and the increase in cycle II, the average teacher’s activities be
91,25% with an increase of 27,5%. Whereas, in the student’s activities in cycle I average student’s
activities namely 60,83% and the increase in cycle II with an average student’s activities be
83,99% with an increase of 23,16%. The conclusion of this activity is that the application of the
cooperative learning model of type numbered heads together can improve learning outcomes
grade IV Rantau Baru Pangkalan Kerinci 2012-2013 school year.
