dc.description.abstractAbstract : The purpose of this research is to get the information about the characteristics of increasing temperature toward children with diarrhea in Merak Infection ward of RSUD Arifin Achmad Pekanbaru. The design of this research is simple descriptive by retrospective study approach. The sample of this research was pediatric patients who had temperature toward diarrhea that has ever been hospitalized Merak Infection ward of RSUD Arifin Achmad Pekanbaru in 2010 to 2011. The sample was 294 respondents collected using total sampling technique. The instrument of this research was data table consist the characteristics of respondents and the characteristics of increasing temperature. The analysis of this research by using univariat analysis. The result of this research conducts that the characteristics of children increasing temperature toward diarrhea are the majority of temperature categories can be lowpyrexsia 58,8%, the majority of fever type can be interemittent 43,2%, the frequency of artery takikardia can be 63,3%, the frequency of breath is tachipnoe 57,1%, the decrease of meal passion is 82,7%, and value of laboratory checking respondents majority had infection are 52%.en_US
