Abstract
This research aimed at improving students learning outcomes in teaching
and learning process at SMPN 23 Pekanbaru by implementing cooperative
learning model of two stay two stray in mathematics lesson. This research uses
classroom research. It was conducted in two cycles. The activity and students
learning outcomes data were gained by collecting activity data by using
observation sheet and daily test. The data which were collected were score which
descriptive analyzed statistic. The result of study in the first cycle found that the
pescentage of students who achieve KKM is 37,5% and the second cycle is 45%,
an increase from before the measures the percentage is only 22,5%, and the award
based on the first cycle of two teams awarded a good team, seven teams awarded
the great team and a team awarded the super team, while in the second cycle of
five teams awarded the great team and five teams awarded the super team. The
conclusing of the study showed that the implementing of cooperative learning
model for two stay two stray could improving students learning outcomes
mathematic.
