Abstract
Sungai Paku Reservoir is one of the infrastructure development by the
government that is beneficial, especially for rural communities. The function of
the reservoir is for aquaculture activities of floating net and pond fisheries, for
the clean water source of local water company (PDAM) Tirta Kampar and as a
tourism site. Reservoir is an area that is inundated by water bodies
throughout the year and is formed or built on human engineering, reservoirs
are built by damming the flow of the river so that the water is held temporarily
and inundate parts of the watershed or low water shed. The existence of this
reservoir provides many benefits for the people of Sungai Paku Village, so that
the existence of the reservoir can need to be maintained so that it can be used
sustainably. For this reason, the economic value of the reservoir can be
calculated. This research was conducted in Sungai Paku Village, Kampar Kiri
Sub-district. The aim is to calculate the economic values of the reservoir in
Sungai Paku Village, Kampar Kiri Sub-district as a fishery aquaculture
activity, clean water provider Tirta Kampar PDAM and tourist attraction. In
this study, samples were taken for the activity of the floating net fisheries, 10
respondents, and pond fisheries 30 respondents, 78 respondents for PDAM
users and 68 visitors for tourist attractions. Data analysis for fisheries
aquaculture activities using capture fisheries methods, the economic value of
clean water taps with contingent valuation methods (CVM) and for tourist
attractions with travel cost methods (TCM). The results showed that the
economic value of fisheries aquaculture activities IDR. 2,389,160,852 users of
PDAM clean water amounting to IDR 372,782,450 and visitors to attractions,
IDR. 1,997,791,300 so that the total economic value of the paku river reservoir
in Kampar kiri sub-district is IDR. 4,759,734,602.
