dc.description.abstract This research aimed to investigate the extent to which training (X1), guiding (X2), relevant experience (X3), and level of education (X4) affect work motivation (Y) through work capability (X5) and role clarity (X6). The research samples were 94 (25%) from 372 small-scale leather enterpreneurs in the Province of Yogyakarta using proportional quota sampling through interview. Data were analyzed using path analysis with 5% significance level. Through multiple regression, it was revealed that X1, X2, X3, X4, X5 and X6 together effected Y significantly with the effective contribution 65,5%. Through path analysis, X5 affeced Y directly with affective contribution 31,5%. X1 and X3 affected Y directly and indirectly (through X5) with affective contribution 16,3% and 9,9% respectively X2, X4 and X6 did not affect Y significantly. X2 and X4 directly affected X6 with affective contribution 5,3% and 4,1% respectively, but three of them did not affect Y significantly. Specifically on X6, it is also affected directly by X5 with affective contribution 15,7%. While X5 having direct influence (the highest) on Y in fact was determined by X1 and X3 with effective contribution 16,8% and 4,3% respectively. Therefore, it is suggested that small-scale entrepreneurs follow training, enhance relevant experiences for increase their motivation and improve their business. en_US
