Abstract
The Setting of the problem on this research is student’s low ability due to their lack of understanding on the subject material. One of the strategy can be applied is directed inquiry model of the fifth grade students at SDN 012 Pangkalan Baru Kampar. The aim of this research to increase students ability of natural Sciences of the fifth grade students at SDN 012 Pangkalan Baru Kampar through the application directed inquiry model. There are two cycles applied on this research. That was composed of 25 male and 15 female students. This research revealed the result of the daily test of the cycle I and the daily test of the cycle II. On the first cycle the students average score was 65,5, while one the cycle was 76.75. Therefore the average of excellent was 11, 25. The analysis of the data showed the average of learning activity was on 60,55%, which indicated poor average while the average score of learning actually after given the treatment. On the cycle II was about 85,4%, which indicated good. The teacher activity to develop and guided the student in teaching learning process on the first cycle the students average score was 62,5%, while second cycle in average score was 87,5% indicated excellent. Based on this result it can be conclude that the application Directed Inquiry Model can be apply to increase of the Natural Science study of the fifth grade magnetic force concept of the fifth grade students at SDN 012 Pangkalan Baru Kampar.
