Abstract
The aim of this research is to analyze strategy how ‘Pemulung family’ kept
alive in Bangkinang, Kampar regency. The type of this research is descriptive
qualitative. The technique of this research is interviewing a questioner (opened and
closed questions). The sample is 50 Pemulung families. The Respondent is choosing by
Snow ball sampling.
Pemulung family kept alive in Bangkinang, Kampar regency generally by
making their economic as efficient as possible or did not spend their money. They are
also keeping their honor by people do not underestimate to them. Besides that,
Pemulung family kept alive by borrowing the money to their neighbor. In this case they
are having wide social relationship among them in neighborhood.
