Abstract:
This research aimed to improve learning process and students’ learning
achievement at SDN 016 Segati Sub District of Langgam in mathematics lesson
by implementing Cooperative Learning Type Numbered Head Together (NHT)
academic year 2011/2012. Forms of research was collaborative action research. It
was conducted in two cycles. Research procedures were carried out in a class
action including planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The
success of the action was marked by improving the learning process and students’
learning achivement. Improvement of the learning process can be seen from the
reflect ion of observations result and increase of students’ learning achivement
marked by score of student’s individual progress and reaching minimum
achievement criteria (MMC). The result of research in the first cycle found that
the percentage of students who achieve MMC were 77 % and 87 % in the second
cycle.
From the results of this research concluded that Cooperative Learning Type
Numbered Head Together (NHT) can improve the students’ learning achievement
at class IV SDN 016 Segati Sub District of Langgam.
