Abstract:
SMA N 1 Bangkinang is one institution that aims Excellence in Achievement and
noble character. To achieve these objectives would need to pay attention while
creating a conducive teaching and learning activities and fun. Based on the
observations of investigators in SMA I Bangkinang that researchers often find
students who have difficulty in following lessons that ultimately have an impact on
their learning outcomes. Students are also often difficult to customize their
learning by teaching school teachers. Similarly at home, students sometimes have
to learn the rules that have been set by the parents at home. Further differences in
learning styles that occur in class XI students majoring in science and social
studies are very different, this difference makes a difference between the views of
students. So that students feel free to choose which learning style should be
applied to improve their learning outcomes. Differences in learning styles also
occur at the level of student ratings, there is a learning style is visual (sight),
auditory (hearing) and kinesthetic (mandated by). High school students as part of
the younger generation, are prepared in order to continue their education to a
higher level and pursue areas of expertise. Preliminary results of the study
authors at SMA Negeri 1 Bangkinang obtained information that the school has
implemented the guidance and counseling program in a planned and systematic.
In fact the school does not have data on the learning styles of the students. The
introduction of student learning styles are expected to assist schools and teachers
in determining appropriate teaching styles to students' learning styles. So with the
development of learning styles sisw able to achieve good learning outcomes. And
of course expected to improve the effectiveness of learning with the introduction
of the learning styles of the students and increase learning styles that can either
support the academic achievement of students achieved. The introduction of
student learning styles are expected to assist schools and teachers in determining
appropriate teaching styles to students' learning styles. Of events and the above
theory, the author is very interested in doing research on learning styles research
is expected to prove the truth of a theory and phenomena. The editor of this
