Abstract:
The problem in this study is the low student math learning outcomes. The low student learning
outcomes is caused by several factors, including the teachers do not use teaching models or
strategies in the delivery of appropriate learning such as cooperative model, the teacher's
teaching too much to explain in front of the class and rarely hold a study group that is less
encouraging the development of students' thinking ability and learning experiences students with
peers, and teachers did not involve students in the learning process so that students do not have
the freedom to interact and use their opinions. Therefore conducted a study to implement the
Cooperative Learning Model Study Teams Games Tournaments (TGT). The objective of this
research is to increase of students' achievement at the fourth grade students of SD Negeri 27
Pekanbaru. The research is a classroom action research, which consists of four steps each cycle.
The research was carried out by three cycles. Based on the observations, the average percentage
of teacher activity cycle I is 79.47% which is a good category. And the second cycle increased to
92.16% which is a very good category. Then in the third cycle increased to 96.67% which is a very
good category. While the student activity, the average percentage of student activity cycle I is
78.33% which is a good category. And the second cycle increased to 87.04% which is a good
category. Then in the third cycle increased to 94.92% which is a very good category. Based on
data analysis and research, the average value of increased student achievement. Student
achievement increased from an average score of 52.91 to the first cycle does not increase in the
first cycle is 52.86, but from the first cycle UH for the second cycle increased 20.85 points to
73.51, then from the second cycle to UH third cycle increased 2.63 points to 76.14. So, it can be
concluded that the Cooperative Learning Model Applying the Teams Games Tournament (TGT)
type, can increase of the Students Math Achievement at the Fifth Grade Students of SD Negeri 27
Pekanbaru
