Abstract

Problem on this research was that students achievement the paragraph charateristic of students at grade four of SDN 37 Pekanbaru was still low. Students who completed 2 students (5,12%) and did not completed 37 students (94,87%) wiht means score of 80. This reseach has porpuse to increase the ability in determining paragraph charateristic of students in grade four SDN 37 Pekanbaru. This research was held on October 22 nd 2012 to November 12nd 2012. From this reseach was obtained the ability to determine paragraph charateristic this of students from daily examination I on siclus I, and daily examination II on siclus II. For the first siclus, the average is 71,92 or incerasing as much as 56,92% and for the second siclus the average is 80,64 or incerasing as much as 75,95%. Data analysis result, teacher activity from siclus I meeting in the first is 58,33%, and for meeting second is 75% or incerasing as much as 16,67%. And for meeting second is 75% , meeting first siclus II is 91,66% or facing increase as much as 16,66%. Siclus II, meeting first is 91,66% and meeting second 95,83% or facing increase as much 4,17%. Students activity of meeting first is 54,16% and meeting second is 75% or increasing as much as 20,84%. Meeting first is 75% and meeting second is 87,5% or increasing as much as 12,5%. Siclus I meeting first is 87,5% and meeting second is 91,66% of facing increase as much as 4,16%. In conclusion, the implemention of cooperative type group investigation (GI) was able to improve students achievement to determine paragraph charateristic of students grade four SDN 37 Pekanbaru.
