ABSTRACT
A study by applying the techniques of cooperative learning groups to increase the roving group of student achievement in the subject of hydrocarbons in class X SMA Al-Huda Pekanbaru. This type of research is experiment research conducted on 9 april to 7 June 2012. The sample consisted of two classes, namely X2 as the experiment class and the control class X1. Grade experiment class is treated roving group cooperative learning techniques, while the control class is the class of the untreated group cooperative learning techniques roving group. Increasing student achievement is measured using the research instrument pretest and posttest form of matter. Data analysis technique used is the t-test using the data obtained from the test value and the value homogeneity and hypothesis testing. The results showed that the implementation of cooperative learning techniques roving groups can improve student achievement with an increase of 9,75%
