Abstract:
Pyrazoline is an azole compound in the form of heterocyclic rings consisting of three C
and two N atoms. The pyrazoline 1-phenyl-3-(1-hydroxynaphthalen-2-yl)-5-(3-
chlorophenyl)-4,5-dihydro-1H-pyrazol (PF-NH1-3Cl) compound had been successfully
synthesized in two step. The first step was synthesis of chalcone 1-(1-hydroxynaphthalen-
2-yl)-propenone-3-(3-chlorophenyl) compound by microwave irradiation method at 180
Watt for 25 minutes with a yield of 39,35%. The second step was synthesis of PF-NH1-
3Cl compound by stirring at high temperature method at 70-80oC for two hours with a
yield of 69,91%. The purity of chalcone and PF-NH1-3Cl compounds was tested by
measuring the melting point, TLC and HPLC analysis. The structure of PF-NH1-3Cl
compound was confirmed by UV, FTIR and LC-MS spectroscopy characterization.
