Abstract:
Interpretation of groundwater in Bumi Kualu Damai III Resident, Tarai Bangun
Village, Tambang District, Kampar Regency has been carried out using geochemical and
geoelectric methods of the Wenner rule. This study aims to identify aquifer layers, determine
flow patterns and quality of groundwater. Measurements were made on two tracks with a
length of 100 meters for each track. Based on the results of data processing, it is known that
the groundwater aquifer is at a depth of up to 12.4 meters below the surface with a resistivity
value (67.4 – 709) Ωm. The spread stretches 100 meters from North to South and from East
to West. The lithology of the subsurface layers in this study area is a layer of the peat with
resistivity values (106 - 211) Ωm, gravel with resistivity values (265 - 473) Ωm, sand with
resistivity (418 – 709) Ωm, and sandstone with resistivity (1042 - 1645) Ωm. Testing the
quality of groundwater in terms of pH parameters obtained an average value of 4.08, turbidity
0.68 NTU, COD 13.75 mg/L, and TDS content of 23.5 mg/L. Overall, the results of the water
quality test in the area of this study are not suitable for consumption because it is too acidic,
but still safe and suitable for other purposes.
