Abstract:
The lack of public knowledge about ISPA disease on children causes difficulty for early
texting about ISPA disease on children. This leads to delay of an early treatment for
those who suffer it. A web-based expert system can be used to solve the problem to
diagnose ISPA disease on children. This expert system adopts expert capabilities and
knowledge into a computerized system. The method used to diagnose ISPA disease on
children is Bayes method. The system created was designed using UML diagrams i.e.
Use Case diagrams, Class diagrams, Activity diagrams and Sequence diagrams. The
system was developed using PHP programming languages and MySQL databases. The
data used were 8 disease data, 33 symptom data, and knowledge base. The data was
obtained from an expert, Dr. Marlinda Sp.A. This method worked based on the data of
symptoms entered by the user so that it can result an identification of ISPA disease in
the form of the name of the disease, the level of certainty and the solution. The system
is expected to help the community in solving problems and provide solutions to
problems for those with ISPA disease in children.
