Abstract
Motorcycle is a high demand transportation in community because it is easy to drive
and the price is very affordable. One type of motorcycle that has a lot of interest is nonautomatic
non-injection motorcycles. Not all users have an understanding of the
damage to the motorcycle. The purpose of this study was to create an expert system to
detect non-automatic non-injection motorcycle damage using the Certainty Factor
method. The design of the system used Unified Modeling Language (UML) and the
system was built using the CodeIgniter Framework and the XAMPP webserver. The
results of calculations in the form of a percentage of damage symptoms were calculated
based on MD and MB values that have been set by the system so that the highest
percentage was the result of motorcycle damage symptoms. Expert system that has been
built had the output in the form of diagnostic results, the percentage of confidence level
of the type of damage, information on the causes of the damage and solutions. Black
Box testing conducted stated that the results were appropriate with system functionality
and manual calculation showed that the testing results matched with the results
produced by the system.
