    PENGONTROLAN JARAK JAUH MOTOR DC DENGAN ANTARMUKA SEBUAH WEB SEBAGAI PENGERAK PINTU GERBANG

    Electric motors are much in use as a driver, especially the motor current (DC). One pengotrolan motors direct current (DC) is controlling the direction of rotation. in this case the direction of rotation of the electric motor control (DC) can be applied as the driving gate in everyday life, so as to open and close the gate can be done remotely with a web interface. With the use of computer technology is remote controlling a DC motor with a web interface as the driving gate. controlling the direction of motor rotation direction will be shaking the gate is open or closed. To be able dimamfaat output signal from the computer port required a series of small signal driver that can be used to drive the object to be controlled remotely so that it can mengerakan perputran motors. When relay 1 works then brush motor will get a positive voltage source positive and negative brush motor is connected to the negative pole of the voltage source. Thus, the motor will work the gate open. In the same way to move the contact relay 2, then the opposite conditions occur that the motor will rotate the opposite direction of rotation, so that the gate is closed.

    PERANCANGAN JARINGAN FIBER OPTIK DI LINGKUNGAN UNIVERSITAS RIAU

    University of Riau (UR) has implemented fiber optic (FO) network to support internet and intranet demand. Nowadays, UR has leased 90 Mbps from PT. Telkom for UR internet usage, and for intranet, UR has a backbone local that using for connect between buildings with star topology. Multimode system that has been implemented does not have different backup link and already has been 15 years more. At the future, the existing system will not be able enough to support bandwidth demands, desired performance, and reliability. New design of FO network will have been done after consider power budget, risetime budget, bandwidth needs and reliability as good as UR needing. 1 Gbps bandwidth will be allocated for the new system and have been predicted to support UR needing in the next 30 years and more.

    RANCANG BANGUN AVR (AUTO VOLTAGE GENERATOR ) MENGGUNAKAN CHOPPER TIPE BOOST CONVERTER PADA GENERATOR SATU FASA 3 KVA

    Problems in a power plant is to maintain the output of a generator to remain stable at standard conditions, taking into account the prime movers rpm. Sattu one solution is to use the AVR is working to adjust the excitation current and voltage on eksiter (amplifier field) generator and utilizing a chopper type boost converter which serves as penaik voltage to regulate the generator excitation current on strengthening. Boost converter consists of an inductor, diode fast (fast recovery) and kapasior as the filter. To obtain the required excitation voltage sensor is required as a generator output readings, which results from reading this will be translated to the ADC through a microcontroller Atmega 8. The ADC will be converted to pwm (pulse-width-modulation) which will be used as a voltage regulator in the boost converter function. Penyaklaran pwm ignition is needed to raise this tegangan.Penyaklaran using mosfet, where pwm microcontroller 5 volts from 12 volts to be raised mennjadi. That requires a buffer circuit with a volt circuit and tomtempol optocupler as input switching mosfet. Magnitude dirancaang duty cycle of 45% for the voltage drop at 3 KVA generator to get the output voltage of 220 volts (stable). Calculation of average voltage regulation originally was 16:28% without AVR while using the AVR voltage regulation mean to be 0.26%.

    Power factor is one of the problems in the electric power quality improvement. Power factor value that is too low can result in some electrical equipment can not operate properly. In many ways, low power factor need not cost cheap. To assist in the use of power factor correction capacitor banks to provide reactive power in the system. To improve the power factor is low, then the study will be compensated automatically by using smart relay as a switch to the capacitor bank. Cos phi great start on system is 0,39 lag with the addition of 13,5 μF capacitor to cos phi be 0.96 Lag.

    Protection system is one important part of the electrical system. Relay is an important part of a system of protection, relays commonly used to secure the low voltage of the electric motor from overload is Thermal Overload Relay (TOR) which is a type of electromagnetic relays. Now the relay has been made to cope with the load over a microcontroller-based digital relay. This work is based on the characteristics of relay inverse where the greater the fault current relay will work more quickly, with the selection of class 10 which is a type of class that is on overload relays in general. Working principle of overload relay microcontroller based ATMega8535 this is if the current exceeds the current setting ATMega8535 microcontroller will then instruct the driver to trip relay with inverse time characteristics, with the length of time specified by the trip ATMega8535 microcontroller, and a low voltage electric motor will stop.

    This study aims to develop an Electrical Engineering student attendance system at the Riau University use Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) as a substitute for manual attendance systems. This software uses Visual Basic 2010 Express and Mysql as a resource for wiriting attendance program. From Visual Basic 2010 Express will make Graphical User Interface (GUI). The GUI consists of 8 form such form Frmmenu, form Frmlogin, form Frmsistem, form Frmjadwal, form Frmmahasiswa, form Frmrecordmahasiswa, form Frmrekapmahasiswa, dan form Frmabsen. This software is written to make easier for administrator to record the student attendance based on subject and lecturer

    ANALISIS LINK BUDGET UNTUK KONEKSI RADIO WIRELESS LOCAL AREA NETWORK ANTARA UNIVERSITAS RIAU PANAM DAN UNIVERSITAS RIAU GOBAH

    Currently, the connection between the Panam Riau University and the Gobah Riau University only use Fiber Optic (FO) in data communications, and then there is need for other communication that serves as a backup connection if one day communication fiber optic can not be operated. Analysis of Link Budget is expected to be a reference as a first step in planning the WLAN radio between the Panam Riau University and the Gobah Riau University. In this Research, will compare the result of Link Budget calculations for 2,4 GHz WLAN radio connection between the method of computation used Radio Mobile software version 9.5.0 with a theoretical calculation method. Link Budget analysis obtained demonstrated by the System Operating margin (SOM) which is worth 27 dBm,which has exceeded the treshold value of SOM are both in the design of radio communication is 15 dBm.
