Item ANALISA DISTRIBUSI TEKANAN DAN KECEPATAN ALIRAN PADA KAPAL KATAMARAN TANPA TURBULEN STIMULATOR DENGAN UJI TEROWONGAN ANGIN(2014-02-04) Hutauruk, Ronald Mangasi; Jamaluddin; Murdijanto; DJONI, I Made Arya; Utama, IkapCatamaran consists of two demihulls which are separated at certain distance. Both of demihulls induce interaction that generates viscous interference. Due to separation to length ratio between demihulls, interference effect occurs significantly over viscous resistance. These interference effects will be investigated by doing experimental test in the wind tunnel to analyze the pressure distribution and velocity profile on the catamaran. Catamaran model is designed without transition strip (turbulent stimulator). The models will be tested at various velocities, commenced from 10; 12; 14 dan 15.5 m/s in speed and separation to length ratio (S/L) 0.2, 0.3 and 0.4. Experimental results define that body separation effects both pressure distribution and velocity profile. Increasing of body separation will increase pressure distribution values. However, its increasing will decrease velocity profile values.Item CONFLICT POTENTIALS IN COMMUNITIES AROUND NATIONAL PARK FORESTS(2014-03-07) Asriwandari, Hesti; JamaluddinThe cultural value system of the Petalangan society that settles in Pelalawan regency, Riau, is traditionally, nature-oriented. Each tribe owns their own forest and land. The ownership, utilization, and maintenance of the forest and land are wellregulated by the local custom, reflected in several of their customs. The forests not only serve as a resource to fulfill thei, needs, but also as a model and the core of their life philosophy. Concepts about life, nature, time, work, and the relationship between one and another have been changed and eroded by industrialization. Forests, as the center of cultural orientation, have changed into an economical meaning. The presence of national authority over the ownership and governance of the forest and land rights have brought many changes to the meaning of forests for the Petalangan society. Various interests have turned the forests' from a highly-valued cultural property into a source of conflicts between the government, the industry and the society, be that native or immigrants. Furthermore, the social functions expressed in formal rules, such as national law or regulations, are already eroded by the advancement of individual functions of land and forest owners. All these- conditions work together and bear the potential of creating a social conflict. Cases of local conflicts then appear, which pit the government, with the interest to preserve the forest as a national park area, against the local residents, who are not willing to let go of their forest and land. The analysis in search of the conflicts' sources, and the trialz, to apply the approach of Talcott Parsons' functionalism, is hoped to explain more of the differences of what really happen in the ownership and governance of forest and land rights in the Pelalawan region. Land and forests clearing by large companies cannot be denied as the largest source of conflict. The single cultural value has changed and creates community diversity with economic-oriented interests, which later will slowly erode the forest and land significances as the cultural value orientation of the Petalangan society. Item INDONESIA – JAPAN RELATIONSHIP: 1958 – 1966(2013-05-31) Joko Waluyo, Tri; JamaluddinThe formal relations of RI-Japan has been openned on 15th April 1958, a while after the agreement value of the peacement contract and reparations war was changed in Tokyo. The relations of RI-Japan in framework of Indonesian’s expedient to take away the west Irian with violance, and Indonesia got donation from Uni Soviet. Netherland and Indonesian had ended the problem of West Irian to hand ever it to the government of Indonesian on 1 st May 1963. Then, International Crisis recently appeared to contradict the formation of Malay Federation, Presiden Sukarno fluented the campaign ” Ganyang Malaysia”. Before the problem of Malay was finished, followed the coup d’etat which was fluent by Indonesian Communist Party (PKI) on 30th September 1965. This coup d’etat ended with failure. The dualism happened in leadership of President Sukarno and Major General Suharto, as defacto ended after the coming out command letter to take the needed action for saving the revolution, by president Sukarno to Major General Suharto on 11th March 1966. Although at the time, the failure of coup d’etat happened and when the dualism of leadership, Japan declarated to sponsor President Sukarno, but didn’t organize any reactions to the failure of President Sukarno which was getting more real except looking after the good relations. Japan, since got freedom on 28 th April 1952, practise did not have turbulance experience in meaning country. Since Prime Minister, Yoshida Shigeru until Prime Minister Sato Eisaku, Japan’s foreign policy followed the United States’ pattern. Japan’s foreign policy to Southeast Asia, was pressed on effort to get the basic commodity and market for the industry. The relations of RI-Japan, for Japan, in framework of the economy, not the ideology. Based on the theory of ‘ Nefos-Oldefos’, Japan was more closed with Oldefos, but Indonesian was in Nefos, but the relations of Indonesian-Japan was good and friendly. The good relation of Indonesian-Japan was signed by the enough frequency visit of two states official, the Japan’s implementation of reparations war payment to Indonesia, and Japan’s effort in solving the conflict between Indonesian- Malaysia.Item A Study into the Selection of Mono- and Multi-Hull Vessel for Better Sea Transportation System(2014-02-04) Utama, Ikap; Jamaluddin; Hutauruk, Ronald MangasiIntensive and continuous research into the development of monohull and multihull vessels (catamaran and trimaran) has been carried out at the Department of Naval Architecture of the Institute of Technology Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) at Surabaya – Indonesia. The work covers the aspects of resistance and powering, ship stability, layout arrangement and ship performance at sea which is better known as seakeeping. Three configurations of ship, namely mono-hull, twin-hull (catamaran), and three-hull (trimaran), were compared. In details, resistance and powering and seakeeping aspects were based on experimental and numerical investigations, ship stability evaluation was centred on the international maritime organization (IMO) criteria, and layout arrangement review was based on general ship design criteria. Final results show that the three types of vessel have demonstrated its own advantages, for example catamaran and trimaran has better transverse stability and monohull shows better seakeeping characteristics at higher speed. These results are also compared with other published data, which show very close agreement.Item UNITED DEVELOPMENT PARTY (PPP): FROM ISLAMIC PARTY TO OPEN PARTY(2013-05-31) Joko Waluyo, Tri; JamaluddinUntil the 2009 great election, the government of Indonesia has executed ten great elections, namely 1955, 1971, 1977, 1982, 1987, 1992, 1997, 1999, 2004 and 2009. The great elections of 1971 was followed by ten OPPs, the great election of 1977 only followed by three OPPs with the Party Of United Development (PPP) as a fusion of four party Islam, as well as the 1982 election. The election of 1987 was followed by three OPP, but in the meantime PPP took off its earlier base which is an Islam base, as well as on the great elections of 1992, 1997 and 1999. While the great elections 2004 and 2009 was followed by more than twenty OPPs although only produced less than ten OPPs to obtain seats in parliament. The origin PPP was using the symbol of Ka'bah, Islamic ideology, since the election of 1987 the party changed its symbol into a five pointed star of yellow gold in 4 equal sides of a square shield and took off the Islamic ideology. The party is originally derived from a fraction of the unity of development consisting of four Islam party, namely: NU, Parmusi, PSII, and PERTI which was formed on January 5, 1973. This paper describes; the formation of the PPP from the beginning until the transformation of new party without ideology of Islam and became an open party, the basic characteristics of the PPP which was colored by the characteristics of each Islamic political party which joined the PPP and the dynamics until PPP took of its Islam ideology and became an open party.Item Wind Tunnel Investigation into the Drag Characteristics of A Pair of Demihull Catamaran in Proximity(2014-02-04) Jamaluddin; Hutauruk, Ronald Mangasi; Utama, IkapAn experimental investigation into drag characteristics of a pair of demihull catamaran was carried out using low-speed wind tunnel at Department of Mechanical Engineering, Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology (ITS), Surabaya. Full viscous drag investigations were performed without and with turbulence transition strip at the range of Reynolds numbers 2.9x105 – 4.5x105. The model hull forms comprise a twin model of hull similar to NPL 4a along which are separated laterally. The results obviously demonstrate the effect of hull separation. The experimental work shows that the pressure coefficient increases while the flow velocity decreases when the hull clearance was closer. Furthermore, viscous drag of model with turbulence strip was higher 1.8% than that of non turbulence strip. The experimental results are presented in tables and graphical forms and the drag characteristics and interference effects are discussed and compared with published data in which show good agreement.
