Item Administrators’ Role in management of ICT integration at secondary school in Indonesia(2014-02-03) Achmad, Said SuhilThe aim of this paper is to identify the concept of administrators’ role in the integration management of ICT at secondary schools in Indonesia, which is whether the administrators’ role in planning, organizing, leadership and controling the ICT integration at schools can run effectively and efficiently. The function of ICT in education is as a source of learning, learning aids, learning facilities, Standard competence, administration system, decision support, and infrastructure which can fix the effectiveness of school management and improve the academic achievement of students and teaching staff. The absence of an ICT good design will not provide optimum benefit, even it is possible that it will be a barrier educational activity. A number of studies show that a relationship between effective management and quality schools, or in other words, management, can make the difference between an effective and efficient school. Management functions that must be performed by the administrator are planning, organizing, leadership and controlling, so that the integration of ICT in schools can actually achieve the goals that have been defined together. Schoolbased school management proved more effective because school administrators take over educational responsibilities from the national govemment, regional and local strategic approach which integrate several different aspects of management to set and achieve their own educational institutions. This research is necessary because by controlling the integration of ICT in a good school can support an effective school. This research method is built using a mixed approach between qualitative and quantitative research, the research design uses a sequential exploratory strategy. Quantitative data were collected using questionnaires to 100 high school principals in Pekanbaru City, and 5 were selected as respondents for qualitative data collected by interview techniques. Quantitative data analysis technique is done by using descriptive statistics while the qualitative data analysis is done manually. The results show that MIN controlling ICT integration in Schools is between 4.59 to 3.60, indicating the level of control of ICT integration in schools at a "high" level. The majority of respondents agreed that it was necessary to find a solution if the school-community relationship was not in line with national standards; provide an outlet if there are activities that are inconsistent with national school accreditation standards; and formulate school performance in accordance with national school accreditation standards. The way the principal implements the control of Internet usage in schools is by way of making guidelines, in the presence of these guidelines, it can compare actual performance with standards, while also taking corrective action when necessaryItem PERSEPSI PIMPINAN TERHADAP KINERJA TAMATAN PROGRAM STUDI ADMINISTRASI PENDIDIKAN DI LINGKUNGAN INSTITUSI PENDIDIKAN KOTA PEKANBARU(2014-06-26) Achmad, Said Suhil; Indarto, Wusono; ZulkifliPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kinerja tamatan Program Studi Administrasi Pendidikan pada institusi Pendidikan yang ada di Kota Pekanbaru; Untuk mengetahui kompetensi keilmuan yang yang relevan untuk tamatan Program Studi Administrasi Pendidikan dengan tugas-tugas yang mereka lakukan; dan untuk mengetahui tanggapan pimpinan terhadap kinerja mereka? Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif, yaitu penelitian denhan variabel mandiri (tunggal) yang tidak menghubungkan dengan variavel yang lain dan tidak menguji suatu hipotesis, tetapi hanya menjawab tujuan penelitian yang diajukan. Populasilasi dari penelitian ini adalah tamatan Program Studi Administrasi Pendidikan pada institusi Pendidikan yang ada di Kota Pekanbaru yang berjumah 50 orang. Sampel diambil dengan tingkat kepercayaan 5%, yaitu 44 orang. Analisis data dilakukan dengan langkah-langkah memeriksa instrument yang telah terkumpul, untuk menentukan mana data yang dapat diolah dan mana data yang tidak dapat diolah; membuat tabel persiapan untuk distribusi data; menghitung frekwensi dari setiap alternatif jawaban yang diberikan responden; menghitung presentase masing-masing jawaban dan terakhir mencari modus dengan alasan data tidak normal. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat kinerja tamatan Program Studi Administrasi Pendidikan pada institusi Pendidikan yang ada di Kota Pekanbaru tergolong kurang baik, artinya kompetensi yang diwariskan oleh program studi masih belum sesuai dengan kinerja yang diharapkan; kompetensi keilmuan masih kurang relevan dengan tugas-tugas yang mereka kerjakan di lapangan, artinya kompetensi yang diwariskan perlu pengembangan lebih lanjut; Tanggapan pimpinan terhadap kinerja tamatan Program Studi Administrasi Pendidikan tergolong positif, karena penilaian mereka dilakukan hanya untuk penelitian ini. Dengan demikian perlu pengembangan kurikulum secara menyeluruh, karena relevansinya dengan tugas masih jauh; Perlu ditingkatkan kompetensi lulusan secara maksimal agar sesuai dengan tuntutan lapangan kerja; dan perlu penelitian lebih lanjut tentang kinerja yang sebenarnya dari alumni yang bersangkutan
