Abstract
The study about the application of guided inquiry approach by using mind map
has been done in class XI IPA of SMAN 1 Teluk Kuantan to enhance students’
achievement on the subject of the colloid system. The study is a form of
experimental research with pretest-posttest design. The sample consisted of two
classes, as a class experiment is XI IPA2
and XI IPA1
class as the class of a
randomized control after homogenity test. Based on result of homogenity test, it’s
shows that F

(1.004<1.95) with criteria α=0.05, it can be said that
both of the groups’ samples have the same variance or in other word, they are
homogen. The data analysis technique used in this study was the statistical test
using the t test with criteria α=0.05 and dk=n1

inquiry approach by using mind map can enhance students’ achievement on the
