Abstract
This research aim, to understand the effect of tyroxine hormone on the grwth
and survival rate of motan fish (Thynnichthys thynnoides Blkr). The experiment
used four treatments as following : B1 = tyroxine hormone 2 mg/kg of fish diet, B2 =
tyroxine hormone 4 mg/kg of fish diet, B3 = tyroxine hormone 6 mg/kg of fish diet
and B4 = tyroxine hormone 0 mg/kg of fish diet. Fishes were reared for 4 months
and they were fed on fish pellet, 3 times/day. Results show that the best results was
treatment B3 = tyroxine hormone 6 mg/kg of fish diet with absolute growth weight
9,23 g, daily growth rate 0,6234 %, absolute growth length 2,63 cm and survival rate
73 %.
