dc.description.abstractIn this paper, we present a new variant of modified Halley's method based on contra-harmonic mean for solving simple roots of nonlinear equations. Analysis of convergence shows the method with sixth-order convergence. Several numerical examples are given to illustrate the efficiency and performance of the proposed method. Comparison of results with other methods has also been given.en_US
