Abstract

This research was conducted from October to November 2012 at Environmental Quality Cultivation Laboratory Fisheries and Marine Science Faculty of Riau University. The purpose of this study was to determine the quality of the soil and water conditions are best based on age groupings podzolic red yellow pond bottom soil. Experimental method was used and complete random design (CRD) was applied. The treatments consist of pond ages ranging from 0-5 years old for O1; 6-10 years for O2; 11-15 years for O3; 16-20 years for O4. The results fluctuation chemical properties of the soil either at trial without liming and with liming show leaning enhancement improvement the soil quality with the age difference and enhancement content KBOT, soil Nitrate, and soil Phosphate increased with the use of lime CaCO3. The range of water quality parameters during the study classified as either, as if pH about 6 -7,3, and temperature about of 24-32 0C. Some water quality still relatively deficient as if DO about 2,1-3,67 ppm, water nitrate about of 0,014-0,063 ppm,and hardness about of 12,727-48,783 ppm.
