Abstract
ISPA is a disease that attacks the respiratory tract both the upper and lower
respiratory tract which can cause various spectrums of diseases from mild infections
to severe and deadly diseases. At Air Molek Health Center work place in Candirejo
village, ISPA in infants is very high and that rank get first number from 2017 to 2018.
This study aims to determine the factors associated with ISPA in toddlers in
Candirejo village, At Air Molek Health Care Work Place, Indragiri Hulu Regency in
2019. This research is a quantitative, with cross sectional design conducted at
Puskesmas Air Molek on May 20 to June 21, 2019. The population in this study was
father or mother who had toddlers totaling 120 people. Data collection using
questionnaire sheets and observation. The results of the chi square test with Pvalue
<0.05 prove that there is a relationship between smoking habits, occupancy density,
home ventilation and lighting conditions with ARI in infants. And it is recommended
that people increase their knowledge about the importance of healthy living and apply
a healthier quality of their life patterns, and always to pay attand the cleanliness of
their living environment, so they can to avoid the risk of disease occurring in their
environment
