Abstract
The development of technology is growing along with the needs of its users. With
the development of technology, it can solve many problems that were previously
solved in a conventional way. One of the problems that can be solved by technology
development is problems in the office sector. The Inspectorate of Kampar needs a
system to process data that can produce inventory ordering data that is often
ordered so that it becomes a reference for adding stock items. One of the data
processing technique that can be used is the Apriori algorithm, because the apriori
algorithm is one of the best algorithms in data mining so that it can get association
rules from data and information on the order level of office inventory items. This
research uses data on the order level of office inventory items for the period
January 2018 to December 2022 as much as 298 data with 51 items of inventory
ordered for each date. This research uses a minimum support value of 2% and a
minimum confidence of 26% so as to produce a pattern of 54 rules with the highest
value being the combination of box file and color hvs folio paper with a support
value of 5.03% and a confidence value of 31.91%. The resulting association rules
then formed the best strategy recommendations for the Kampar Inspectorate to take
a decision in making orders so as to reduce the ordering of excessive inventory
items and increase productivity.
