The research was conducted at private fish pond, Sei Paku, Kampar from July to October 2012. The aim of the research was to investigate the levels of different protein that provide the best growth and survival rate of baung (Mystus nemurus). The experiment was designed by Completely Random Design and Student Neuman Keuls was used to differentiate among treatments. The treatment with four level protein diet 29 %, 33 %, 37 %, and 41 % (isocaloric) were fed to Baung (Mystus nemurus). The result indicated that different protein levels have significantly effect on growth and survival rate of baung (Mystus nemurus). The best result was achieved by 37% protein level. Total absolute body weight, absolute body length, daily growth rate, survival rate, feed efficiency, feed conversion, and protein retention was 56 grams, 19.78 cm, 3,84 %/day, 83.33 %, 77.41 %,1.29,and 1,17 % respectively.en_US
