Abstract
Formulation of the problem in this influence VCT Method (Value Clarification Technique) can increase the motivation to learn civics in grade VIII in SMPN Downstream District 03 Kuantan Singingi. The purpose of this research to improve learning motivation Citizenship Education in Junior High school eight grade student Downstream Regency 03 Kuantan Singingi.
The research was conducted in the SMPN 03 Downstream Kuantan Singingi. Total sample in this research is all class VIII SMPN 03 District Downstream Kuantan Singingi totaling 58 students. The parameters in this study where the motivation for students to learn to use VCT Method (Value Clarification Technique) by using the experimental method and the control class experiment. Result from the study showed an increase in the research on the use of experimental class method VCT (Value Clarification Technique) where the average grade of 69,83% obtained experimentally, while the values obtained for the control class average 66,96%. Experimental class students motivation higher than the control class, to increase learning motivation Citizenship Education in Junior High School eight grade student downstream Regency Kuantan Singingi be accepted with 90% convidence.
Once processed, the T-Test analysis on the terms of unknown values both classes (experimental and control) is thitung > ttabel is 1.78 > 1.66 which means there is a significant difference at 5% significance level.
