dc.description.abstractThis research was aimed to analyze the CO2 emissions due to forest fires that occurred in Siak Regency, Riau Province Indonesia in 2610 and to analyze the probability offorest fire occurrence in Siok Regency using the available data. Fire and CO2 1 emissions in the area of plantationforests are greater than in the area ofnaturalforests: The amount of CO2 emissions due to forest fires in 2010 varied between 107.260 Ton CO2 yr1 in natural forests and 151.600 Ton CO2 .vr' in plantationforests. The amount of CO2 emissions due toforestfires in the peat land was 2. J 76 Ton CO2, y1A. This value is mainly Hependtng on the extent of the burned area in the year of 20 J 0. -Results of the logistic regression show the forest fires are more likely to occur in degradedforestsen_US
