Abstract
This research was carried out in sub district of Siak Hulu, Kampar regence.
The aim of this research to know empowerment programme fisherman’s wives base
on natural and human resources (fishermans wives). There are 32 respondens
fisherman’s wives from Buluh Cina and Teratak Buluh villages. The methode used
is survey methode. From this research is known that the age rate them productive,
but there are 31,25% of them work, and their rate income are only Rp. 385.000,- per
month. It is lower than Regional Minimum Payment (UMR) of Riau Province
(Rp.710.000,- per month). It means that addition of their have income only 29,69%
per month. The suitable empowerment programme can be done by seeing natural
and human resources potention fishery likes : making food for fish (pellet), fishery
process product. Another activity like : swing, making souvenir and making big
buissness group as place for effort of fisherma’n wives.
