Abstract
The investigation of limestone heat characterization and utilization as a source of
electrical energy has been conducted using an experimental method. The experiment was conducted using series of a voltage cell where the measurement of voltage, current, power, electrical energy, thermal energy, and temperature can be done. In the experiment solution of CaCO3 (limestone) mixed with H2O were used as samples. The first sample was a mixture of CaCO3 with the mass 200 g, 300 g, 400 g, 500 g, and 600
g with H2O whose volume 800 ml. The second sample was the mixture of CaCO3 with H2O whose mass of 400 g with volume of 300 ml, 400 ml, 500 ml, 600 ml, and 700 ml.
The results of mixture reaction of CaCO3 with H2O indicated that the maximum temperature of 100 0C need two minutes reachit and decline back to the temperature 30 C with needed time about 145 minutes. The maximum temperature resulted voltage 39,78 mV for limestone mass 400 g at water volume 300 ml. The highest peak current
was 20,26 mA, related to the electrical power 625,63 mW, and thermal energy 0,09 Joules using limestone mass with 400 g and 300 ml water that occurred in 2 minutes.
The maximum values showed that amount of limestone mass and water volume should be balanced in order to produce maximum power and electrical energy
