dc.description.abstract | Various thicknesses of separator have been used and tested for a separator supercapacitor application. Different thicknesses of the separator were produced from a variety of eggshell membrane (ESM), i.e chicken eggshell membrane (CESM), duck egg shell membrane (DESM) and goose egg shell membrane (GESM). Tested thicknesses are as follows 0.03 mm, 0.10 mm and 0.14 mm, respectively for CESM, DESM and GESM. The testing was performed with a thickness Scanning Electrone Microscope (SEM), while the influence of thickness on the supercapacitor cell performance was conducted using cyclic voltammetry and charge-discharge galvanostatic. Results and analysis indicated that the thinnest separator produced the largest specific capacitance, power and energy density i.e 159.22 F / g, 3.79 W / kg and 271.25 W / kg. | en_US |
