ISOLASI DAN IDENTIFIKASI SENYAWA STEROID DARI DAUN RIMBANG (SOLANUM TORVUM)

Abstract

Chemical constituent has been isolated from the dry aerial parts of rimbang (Solanum torvum). The finely chopped material was extracted with methanol then fractionated into different polarity of solvent ; hexane, and ethil acetate. Separated done with colom chromatography at silica gel-60 by step gradien polarity. 345,96 mg of colourless needles (Melting point 144-1460Celcius) has been isolated from hexane fraction. Based on Liberman Burchard and Roseinhein reagen, spectrum ultraviolet and spectrum infra red, it was identified as steroid that have double bonding conjugation and -OH function
