Abstract
A research has been conducted to determine the depth of unconfined aquifer in the
Village Maharatu Marpoyan Damai District Pekanbaru City in two dimensions using
geoelectrical method of Schlumberger configuration. Based on the results of
measurements and data processing, there a four layers of the earth's surface. The first
layer has a resisitivity value of 90.7 Ωm to 97.1 Ωm with thickness of 3.9 meters to 6.5
meters. This layer is interpreted as a soil cover layer consisting of a mixture of clay and
sandy soil. The second layer has a value of 127.3 Ωm resisitivity to 209.3 Ωm with a
thickness of 4.3 meters to 11.1 meters. This layer is interpreted as sand. The third layer
has a value of 209.0 Ωm resisitivity with thickness 5.6 meters to 19.6 meters. There is
layer of sandstone that can store and release water. This layer is interpreted as sand and gravel containing fresh water. This layer is unconfined aquifers located at a depths of 8.2 m up to 17.6 m. The fourth layer resisitivity value 3999.0 to 5092 Ωm and it is a clay layer that is difficult to pass water.
