Abstract

The research was conducted in March 2012 in the Laboratory of Parasitic Diseases of Fish Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences University of Riau, Pekanbaru. The purpose of this study to determine the concentration of turmeric (Curcuma xanthorrhiza Robx) that can inhibit the growth of Aeromonas hydropila and safe dose to be given to the fish. Sensitivity studies and LD50 test using completely randomized design 4 treatments and 3 replications. Concentration used in the assay sensitivity is P0: control, P1 (0.8 g / l), P2 (1.6 g / l), P3 (3.2 g / l), while the LD50 test using P0 concentrations: control, P1 (1 g / l), P2 (4 g / l), P3 (8 g / l). The results menunujukkan ginger solution to Aeromonas hydrophila sensitive average highest inhibition zone formed on treatment P3 (3.2 g / l) of 16.6 mm and significantly different between treatments (P <0.05). LD50 test solution for carp ginger marinated for 24 hours after probit analysis contained in the concentration of 3.7 g / l. ginger is safe to use for goldfish when administered at concentrations below 3.7 g / l.
