ABSTRACT
A classroom action research on the implementation of cooperative learning type two stay two stray has been done by the purpose of a achieving a better learning outcome of studens’ in learning chemistry. This study took the X-6 class of SMAN 12 Pekanbaru. Through the application of cooperative learning type two stay two stray, the studens’ learning outcome did show a significan increase from cycle 1 (16,67%) up to cycle 2 (44,44%). Nevertheless from the treatment during the research and the data gathered by the researcher the studnts’ learning achievement had not reached the minimum standard of the subject yet. Therefore, it can be concluded that this implementation of the cooperative learning type two stay two stray could not improve the students’ learning achievement while leraning chemistry at X-6 class of SMAN 12 Pekanbaru.
