Abstract
Experiments on the motion of charged ions in a magnetic field are were carried out in order
to obtain the information and understand the motion of NaCl ions in accordance with the
Lorentz force. In this study, measurements were performed without a magnetic field and
under a magnetic field. Two different rotational speeds such as 657,1 rpm and 556,9 rpm as
a function of salt concentrations of salt solutions were prepared to obtain the values of
stress and resistance with salt masses of 0, 50, 100, 150, 200, 250, 300, 350, 400. 450, and
500 grams. The results show that the voltage increases with increasing salt mass. However,
the resistance decreases as a function of salt concentration for both without a magnetic field
and with a magnetic field. Moreover, the results also show that the resistance of the system
also decreases for both rotational speed. It was also found that charged ions under the
magnetic field experience deflection due to Lorentz's force.
