Abstract
The purpose of this study was to assess the quality of lecturers and lecture
methods for student learning motivation in the Economics Faculty of Teacher
Education University of Riau, which is measured by indicators - specific indicators of
the three variables, namely as: 1) the characteristics of teacher quality, 2) The traits -characteristics of a good lecture method and 3) The traits motivation to learn. The
research was conducted in April 2013. The population of this study is the students of
economic education 2010 - 2012 which taken only some 71 from the third generation.
The data used is a form of primary data with data gathering techniques such as
questionnaires to 71 people (a sample). Data analysis techniques used were: 1)
quantitative descriptive analysis, 2) Test requirements analysis (Test Normality and
Linearity), 3) Test the hypothesis (test f simultaneous, multiple regression equation,
the coefficient of determination R2, partial T Test and test validity).
The results of this study indicate the level of lecturers and lecture methods to
motivate students to learn in terms of Economic Education to the three variables of
which 63.4% Quality Education Economics Lecturers have high-value criteria, while
the lecture method of 57.7% has criteria good value, and Motivation for 70.4% of
students have high motivation to learn as well. And of the processed SPSS version
16.0 obtained good results, such as data normality test results can be seen from the
table One Sample kolmogorov-Smirnov that generated the data are normally
distributed
