PERAN TOKOH ADAT DAN ANGGOTA PESUKUAN DALAM MELESTARIKAN BANGUNAN WARISAN (HERITAGE BUILDING) RUMAH GODANG

Abstract

Traditional houses or Godang houses in some villages in Kuantan Singingi, there are still preserved authenticity, such as in Kenegerian Gunung Toar. Sustainability is the active role of traditional leaders who instill the values of customary norms in the community. In some other customary states, some have been damaged by age. The purpose of this study was to analyze the role of traditional leaders and tribal members in preserving the Godang House building, knowing the constraints of preserving the Godang House and the educational values of the Godang House building. This research was conducted in Gunung Village, Koto Gunung Village and Toar Village. Samples were taken five random Godang Houses. Data collection techniques in this study were observation and interviews. The object of observation is the Godang House and its environment, while the traditional leaders and tribal members are represented. The results of this study are the role of traditional leaders as role models who provide sharpening, fostering, caring for grandchildren's nephews, and instilling the values of togetherness "ringan sama di jinjing berat sama dipikul", participation of tribal members in preserving the Godang house is a member contribution according to ability between Rp 50,000 to Rp 500,000 per year, the constraints to preserving the Godang house are many who do not have a watchman for the Godang house because the community is proud to live in the Godang House, the educational value of the Godang house is a place of deliberation, as a cultural laboratory, cultural sustainability and protection of the marriage tribe.
