Abstract

This article discusses solutions for the equation 1k + 2k + 3k + + xk = yn in positive integers x; k; y; n with 1 x < 25 and n 3. The solutions obtained are (x; k; y; n) = (1; k; 1; n) and (x; k; y; n) = (8; 3; 6; 4).
